Creative Director from West Harlem, New York City, Mashari Grissom takes pride in community engagement. At the first Historically Black College, she obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) focused on Mass Communications with a minor in Black Studies from Lincoln University, PA. Mashari is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. With her event coordination skills from college, Mashari founded an entertainment blog, titled Good Ears Only in 2016.

In 2020, Mashari rebranded Good Ears Only to what is now MKT 116. After changing her diet to strictly plant based, it eventually became a lifestyle. Realizing the unlimited amount of benefits, Mashari wanted to share with the world the significance of watching what you eat, drink, and put on your body.

Our Story

MKT 116 was inspired from an historic African Market in Harlem and her late aunt, Dr. Shaquana Anderson who demonstrated the vitality of collective togetherness and organic/holistic living.

As CEO and Founder, Mashari Grissom visions MKT 116 being the go-to organic and wellness store for the African diaspora including the Latinx. In a capitalist world where Black health is not top priority, the store provides products for both the mind, body, and spirit.
